COVID-19 Info and Patient Safety
We want to ensure you that your health is our top priority. We have taken steps to further enhance the office protocols to ensure the highest level of safety and health by educating and training our team regarding Covid-19.
Our normal daily operations implement the Standard of Care, that we have abided by since day one to esnure Japantown Dental is one of the safest places to be while continuing to safeguard against the spread of the diseases:
Before you sit down at the dental chair, all surfaces of the operatory such as the dental chair, dental light, countertops, and drawer handles are cleaned and disinfected with medical grade disinfectants that kill 99.9% of all bacteria and viruses.
Disposable protective coverings on equipment are disposed of and replaced after each patient visit.
All staff involved in patient care use PPE, Personal Protective Equipment, to protect patients and team.
We clean and disinfect the lobby area and reception counter throughout the day.
Any team member that has symptoms of a cold or flu are not permitted on the premise and advised to stay home for the safety our patients and other team members.
We have also invested in your health by offering the following safeguards to make you feel more comfortable and give you peace of mind when visiting us:
All patients and team members have their temperature taken using a no touch forehead thermometer to ensure we are all operating under the right conditions.
All treatment team members use N95 masks or KF94 masks, and dental visors. These masks are the top standard in filtering all particulates above 0.3 microns, providing patients and team members the safest operating conditions.
All patients rinse with 1.5% Hydrogen Peroxide for one minute before treatment. One minute of rinsing has proven successful in eliminating bacteria, viruses, and fungal microbes.
We have installed multiple TruSens Air Purifiers which use HEPA filters to remove 99.7% of viruses, bacteria, dust, pollen, smoke, odors, mold spores, and pet dander. These air purifiers create a cleaner air environment for all parts of the office while helping improve overall health.
We have implemented the use of the new Isolite dental isolation system which reduces aerosols produced during treatment by 90%, to further protect patients and team members. They also help in achieving better visibility and moisture control, improve efficiency and clinical results, while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
We are here to serve our patients and assure you that Japantown dental is one of the safest places to be during this time. Having untreated dental or oral infections in your mouth can negatively affect your immune system, and having proper dental treatment is one way to make your body healthier. Our highest priority will always be to keep the patient and community safe and healthy.
